چکیده
We have developed a correlation radiometer at 33 GHz devoted to the search for the residual polarization of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB). The two instrument’s outputs are a linear combination of two Stokes parameters (Q and U, or U and V). The instrument is therefore directly sensitive to the polarized component of the radiation (respectively linear and circular). The radiometer has a beam-width of 7 or 14 deg, but it can be coupled to a telescope increasing the resolution. The expected CMB polarization is at most a part per milion. The polarimeter has been designed to be sensitive to this faint signal, and it has been optimized to improve its long term stability, observing from the ground. In this contribution the performances of the instrument are presented, together with the preliminary tests and observations.

The Cosmic Background Imager (CBI) is a 13-element interferometer designed to image intrinsic anisotropies in the cosmic microwave background (CMB) on arcminute scales. A review of the capabilities of the instrument is presented, together with a discussion of observations which have been taken over the past 9 months from the Atacama desert of Chile. We present preliminary high-resolution mosaic...

We analyze the astronomical data on the explosions of supernovae Ia as well as the precision measurement of cosmic microwave background in order to get a model-independent determination of the acceleration parameter for the Universe evolution. The effective parameter of state in the cosmological equations, which gives the ratio of pressure to the energy density, as shown, can naturally get the ...

We perform numerical simulations to explore the dynamical evolution of the HD 82943 planetary system. By simulating diverse planetary configurations, we find two mechanisms to maintain the stability of the system: the 2:1 mean motion resonance between the planets can act as the first mechanism for all stable orbits. The second mechanism is the apsidal alignment and we find that the difference o...

We present an analysis of the timing data of the pulsar B1642−03, collected over a span of 30 years between 1969 and 1999. During this interval, the timing residuals exhibit cyclical changes with amplitude varying from 15 ms to 80 ms and spacing of maxima varying from 3 years to 7 years. Interpretation of these observed cyclical changes in terms of free precession suggests a wobble angle of abo...
